Mac Client For Skype
The HDX RealTime Media Engine is a plug-in to the Citrix Receiver to support clear, crisp high-definition audio-video calls, particularly with Microsoft Skype for Business. Users can seamlessly participate in audio-video or audio-only calls to and from other HDX RealTime Media Engine users, native Skype for Business and Lync client users, and other standards-based desktop video and conference room systems. The HDX RealTime Media Engine is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
In VDI, on skype, when doing a video call, all the user sees is a green (or blue) screen, for both, other participants, and themselves, but they can hear audio just fine. Participants in the video call can see and hear the user. I have gone in circles with this a few times and decided to post here to see if anyone had any thoughts.
I know that Skype just released a new client that supports multi party group video calling. But I've heard that Skype plans to eventually charge for that feature. I don't mind paying but I don't want a service that requires an entrepreneur to pay just to talk to me.

To start a videoconference, find the user you want to call in the Skype for Business client. You do this in the search field "Jemanden suchen oder eine Rufnummer wählen". Then click on the call icon there.
To create a group, you must click the "+ symbol" in the client. You can then rename the group. To add contacts, you only need to search for the contact in the search field and right click on the option "Zu Kontaktliste hinzufügen" > "Your group".
To create a group you have to right click on a free space in the client under the menu point "Kontakte" and select the point "Neue Gruppe". You can then rename the group. To add contacts, simply search for the contact in the search field and right click on "Gruppen" > "Your Groupname".
